On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, I took a brief break from my vacation in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks to stop in to Paradox Brewery and visit with three of the gentlemen making their fantastic beer happen.
This episode is brought to you by Phrank.ly. Phrankly is working to make sourcing and distribution for restaurants, farms and speciality goods more transparent and change the way people find their food.
Paradox Brewery is located in Schroon Lake, NY just a few minutes away from the actual Paradox Lake. I’ve been camping at Paradox since I was born so I was thrilled to see a new and expanding business open up in the area.
The team at Paradox is already putting out a solid selection of cans of Pilsner, IPAs and bottles of more wild fermented offerings. We went through a couple of their beers on the podcast and also talked about their new Weather series of happy beers done in varying styles and hops.

I was also thrilled to hear that Paradox is working on an expansion into a new facility coming next year. They’ll be shifting into a new building on the old Frontier Town site in North Hudson, NY which is a short drive from where they are now. This area desperately needs growing businesses and a new 35 barrel brewery with testing lab, canning line and Barrel space is a perfect fit.
I can’t wait to check out the new facility when it is done and see what it does to help grow the area. Remember to support your local breweries since they create local jobs and use local ingredients from farms. Check them out on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to see more.
