Another Food Truck Rodeo is coming up and another new truck will be joining the ranks to serve the massive crowds on Wednesday August 28th at the Rochester Public Market. The Meatball Truck Co. will be launching their truck at the August Rodeo and I’m excited to see what they’ve got to offer.
Founded by president and chef Matt Petrillo (former chef at Cure) and his parents John and Michele Yancey (of Yancey’s Fancy Cheese fame), their meatball focused menu is simple and straightforward but sounds rock solid to me.
- Meatballs in a cup with Marinara, Fresh Ricotta and Basil served with Flour City Bread
- Meatball Sliders with Marinara, fresh Basil and Parmesan Cheese on Flour City Slider Rolls
- Fresh Cut Fries
- Caesar Salad, with homemade caesar dressing. homemade croutons, and fresh parmesan
They may also be offering a sampler at the Rodeo to allow people to try more of their food without getting full orders. I love that they are using Flour City Bread products to accompany their meatballs and they did mention they will be expanding the menu in the future. In addition to the big Food Truck Rodeo, The Meatball Truck will be headed to the Dansville Balloon Festival during Labor Day weekend, Clothesline Art Festival, Canaseraga Fall Fest and Palmyra Canaltown Days and will be working on establishing a regular schedule. Updates will be on @meatballtruckco on both Facebook and Twitter.
I’m looking forward to see what their plans are moving forward and what their future menu will consist of. I’m definitely planning on making a stop during the Rodeo to see how their food is and I hope everyone goes out and supports the newest truck on the block!
