On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, Tracy Schuhmacher from the Democrat and Chronicle came over to the studio to talk about the upcoming Rochester stop of the traveling Food and Wine Experience on September 23. It was great to finally get Tracy over to chat and we had a great time recounting her time at the D&C, the Rochester food scene and Finger Lakes wines.
Also if you haven’t voted yet, please go to the City Newspaper website to vote Food About Town for best podcast. It was a thrill to win last year and I would love to be back on the ballot again this year.
Thanks!

I met Tracy right around when she started the job in 2015 and it has been an eventful 2 years in the Rochester food and drink scene. I got her pespective on what has been going on here and how she sees things changing now. We talked through some of the ups and downs of writing restaurant reviews and writing in general.

Tracy did a fantastic piece recently on some Finger Lakes wine topics that you definitely should check out. She visited a bunch of places that I have either enjoyed or are on my short list of wineries to visit. We touched on some of those and wine topics in general.
