On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, Chris Thompson from Chronicles of Nonsense and his writings in the City Newspaper came over to the studio to talk about his writings around black owned restaurants in Rochester and all about his path.
This episode is brought to you by Phrankly. Phrankly is working to make sourcing and distribution for restaurants, farms and specialty goods more transparent and change the way people find their food.
[powerpress]I have been following Chris online and on his appearances on Connections with Evan Dawson for a while and was thrilled to have him live in the studio. As is somewhat typical, I hadn’t met him in person before he showed up and I was very happy with how the whole interview went. It’s always great when your expectations are met with people you love listening to.
This was recorded around February and Black History Month but everything we covered is still is applicable now. Chris has spent a lot of effort highlighting Black owned restaurants around Rochester and you should definitely head out to check out somewhere new to you this weekend.
