Fiamma – New Location Preview

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I wrote an actual post for the website that wasn’t a podcast but here we are. I’ve got a few more pieces in the works in addition to 3 interesting podcast episodes in the next few weeks. A couple of beer focused conversations and a visit with the owner of I-Square.

Fiamma New Area

Today I am excited to let everyone know about the new location of one of my favorite restaurants in the Rochester Area, Fiamma. For almost 4 years they have been serving up Rochester’s best Neopolitan style pizza and, in my eyes, the best pies overall. They are consistently making true to tradition pizza with minimal ingredients and a blazing hot oven. If you love pizza, the the picture perfect Margherita should be your go to on a regular basis.

Fiamma Margherita

Giuseppe Paciullo is bringing his vision from the original location on Buffalo Rd in Gates and translating it into the new space on Elton Street. The restaurant is located in the heart of the revitalization in the Neighborhood of the Arts and fits into the fabric beautifully. Makers Gallery (in the same plaza and home of the notorious ROC Donut King), the new 3 Heads Brewing facility, Nosh and Rochester Brainery are all within easy walking distance.

Fiamma New Lower Level

The new Fiamma will feature a full bar area, stand up tables on the main level for quick dining or an easy hangout space, a deli and will still feature the same pizzas that they have built their reputation on.

Fiamma New Upstairs

The building is being substantially renovated and will include some unique elements from the original construction including some fantastic beams and open brick walls. The dining area upstairs already feels comfortable and the overall environment should be quite welcoming based on the plans I heard.

Fiamma New Building

I am truly excited that Fiamma is finally making its way to the city proper. In the meantime, make the very short drive out to Buffalo Rd in Gates (just outside the city off of Mt Read Blvd) and grab some beautiful pies to get yourself amped up for the new location.

There will be more to come on the building process and when we’ll see the doors open. Stay tuned!
