F.A.T. Podcast Episode 75 – Farmer’s Creekside Sommeliers

On this episode of the Food About Town podcast,  GM Chris Grocki and Wine Director Drew Tschappat from the soon to open Farmer’s Creekside Tavern and Inn in LeRoy came over to the studio to talk wine, the upcoming opening of Farmer’s and we also did a taste test of a few of Drew’s picks.

This episode is brought to you by Phrank.ly. Phrankly is working to make sourcing and distribution for restaurants, farms and speciality goods more transparent and change the way people find their food.

The taste test covered a 1990 Riesling from Germany, a more contemporary wine from the country of  Georgia and a sparkling wine (no not champagne) from the Loire region of France. I had a good time doing tasting notes and my wife joined in with her interesting takes.

Drew fit in talk about Riesling at every turn and we got into both Chris’ and Drew’s paths into wine and the service industry in general.
