F.A.T. Podcast Episode 109 – Joe Bean History

On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, Kathy Turiano, Dena Jones and Ben Turiano from Joe Bean Coffee Roasters  came over to the studio to talk through the history of Rochester’s first specialty coffee shop and where they are today. This was a long time coming as I have been a regular customer for just about as long as they have been over on University Ave and it was great to get to record their story from the beginning with three of the owners all at the same time.

Thanks to Kathy, Dena and Ben for taking the time to document their journey. Thanks for listening and see you out there!

This episode is brought to you by Phrankly. Phrankly is working to make sourcing and distribution for restaurants, farms and specialty goods more transparent and change the way people find their food.

Personally, this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and I’m glad I finally got to make it happen. This is areal story about pivoting a small business and a dedication to building a business based on quality. Follow their accounts for Joe Bean Roasters and specifically for the Bar and Kitchen to keep up on all the happenings!
