F.A.T. Podcast Episode 110 – Vinnie Paulino and Sapori

On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, I took the portable rig over to Sapori Cafe to talk with Vinnie Paulino from the Comedy at the Carlson Cast and Chef Joe from Sapori about the Vinnie Paulino Panini! Who wouldn’t want a panini with cup and char pepperoni pizza as bread?

We talked comedy, broke down the mammoth (and delicious) sandwich and learned about how Chef Joe opened Sapori.

Thanks for listening and see you out there!

This episode is brought to you by Phrankly. Phrankly is working to make sourcing and distribution for restaurants, farms and specialty goods more transparent and change the way people find their food.

Vinnie is a staple on the Rochester comedy scene, the host of the Comedy at the Carlson Cast and my rival in the Best Of Rochester Podcast wars. You can see him regularly on stage at Comedy at the Carlson and every week interviewing the headliners coming through the club on the podcast. He gets fantastic guests and, being a comedy nerd, I am eternally jealous with the people he gets to talk to.

It was great to learn about Chef Joe’s family history in the Rochester area and his experiences in catering and private cheffing. I’ve enjoyed his food at events around town and now having experienced the Vinnie Paulino Panini special I am excited to make another stop in for some comforting eats.
